Vegan Experiment Day 1- WaterCourse

For my first Vegan restaurant experience I decided to make it easy on myself and go to a vegetarian eatery in the Denver area called WaterCourse. This place is a great, kid friendly restaurant that creates amazing comfort food without using meat. The dishes make you look beyond your favorite food to add healthier, non-meat protein items, such as: Tofu, Tempeh, and Seitan. I dragged my mom with me to experience the new cultural atmosphere. We decided to share the Seitan Fajitas, which was a perfect amount to fill us both up. It was seasoned seitan with grilled onions and peppers. Served with rice, refried beans, green chile, lettuce, tomatoes, and a whole wheat tortilla. I must say they were amazing. Even my mother a vegan skeptic was surprised how great the seitan tasted. Of course after that hearty meal I had to try one of their vegan milkshakes. I got the chocolate and it was DELISH. I tasted a lot like coconut, chocolate goodness.
