Well, its that time of year again… hate.. dreadmill training. YUCK! I seriously don’t think there is anything worse than running numerous miles on a treadmill. Talk about booooring. BUT I have to get ready for a few races coming up: Boulder Half Marathon and the Horsetooth Half Marathon (my nemesis). I have never run the Boulder one so I am looking forward to that but the Horsetooth Half is a very very hard one. Beautiful scenery but crazy hills. It’s supposedly one of the hardest half marathons in the country.
Since I really really reeeeally hate treadmills I think this time around I am going to do a lot of cross training. SWIMMING will be a good focus as well as cycling. I am going to try to run outside on weekends if I am not in the mountains but that will definitely throw a wrench into my no treadmill plan. I may have to suck it up! Tonight will be the start of the dreadmill training. Hoping to get in around 5 miles 🙂 Wish me luck!!!
